While my daughter Captain Melissa Dabney was stationed at Schofield Army Barracks, we spent a lot of weekends at Bellows Air Force Beach on Oahu Hawaii. Our favorite place, even though Melissa was stung by a jelly fish the first five minutes out. She was treated and then we drove a mile down the beach and had a great rest of the day.
Rainbow Fall in Hilo Hawaii is very close to where the Dabney family lived from 1985-2000. The kids could walk from the house. I loved that house and we have many friends there we still call family and visit about once a year. The Hasegawas and Nagaos are my son Joshua’s God parents.
We had a great view of Diamond Head while out at sea getting ready to tour on a submarine. What fun memories of Hawaii. Paradise Memories.
