Carol Dabney’s first book was a photo journal of her daughter Lieutenant Melissa Dabney as she joined the Army. About Carol’s grandson Noah and his struggles as a military child suffering from separation issues of military life. In this humorous poetic storybook we find out what’s Noah’s life is like and how he deals with his military mommy. Published in 2010. Was on the front page of the Jonesboro Sun Newspaper on Veteran’s day Nov 11; and featured in Delta Pride Magazine for the holiday issue of the next year. The veteran’s poem was published in Army Heritage magazine. Carol has been reading presentation at schools, libraries and civic clubs.
Next was a five book series follow up of what happen to Noah in The Adventures of Noah publish from 2010 to 2013.
Dance me Home was an adult love story weaved into Americana set during the WWII era, a true story of the author’s father navy man Robert Jones Junior published in September 2012. Front page articles in Marked Tree Newspaper and Jonesboro Sun.
This fall 2013 carol will publish two new holiday bedtime storybooks: The Happy Pumpkin, Patch for Thanksgiving and “Twas The Mouse Before Christmas” there are songs and recipes in each. Illustrations by the author.
Carol joins Everett O Martindale as they create The Animals Used By God children’s bible series to be published in 2014.They are Familiar bible stories but from the animals point of view. These animal parables will give some real food for thought. Songs composed by Dabney are also included. Preview in part II.
